Detroit is 11-1 in the series including 5-0 in the Twin Cities. Also, following a disastrous start, Detroit is 9-2 their last 11. Admittedly, we do think a lot of gamblers overplay night/day splits, but we find it hard to ignore that Detroit is 11-5 at night +5.9 compared to 4-10 in day games -10.6.
Detroit is hitting .297 at night with a .384 OBP. Armando Galarrago has a 1.50 ERA and .722 WHIP and Detroit has won all three of his starts +3.4 units. Livan Hernandez has gotten good support, but over his last three starts his ERA is 8.59 with a horrid WHIP of 2.045.
