Bankroll went up $374 on Saturday as the slate managed a 7-4 record for the day. Winning plays on Saturday were St Louis, LAD, Toronto, Oakland, Detroit, Chicago WS, and Florida. The four losing play on the Saturday slate were Cleveland, Houston, Minnesota, and Milwaukee in Game 1. It turned out to be a solid winning day...many more of this type day would be appreciated by me.

That gain and winning day came despite the meager 1-2 effort with the write-ups. St Louis won with a walk-off HR against the Devil Rays, but then the Reds beat Cleveland with a 3 run walk-off shot spoiling another pitching clinic by Carmona. The other play just went to the crapper early on as Texas got to Oswalt and the Rangers prevailed, 6-2.

San Francisco is looking to bounce back today from a 3-1 home loss to the Chicago White Sox. Buerhle looked sharped and Zito par for the course couldn't get the job done. The White Sox have won the first two games of this series with solid pitching as they allowed the home team only 1 run. SF will need to post a few runs today if they hope to avoid the sweep.

Cain starts for the Giants today and he was solid in his last outing and the Giants have now won 4 of the last 5 times he has taken to the hill. Appears to be pitching better at home and San Francisco could use a nail down performance here today. White Sox have only managed to win 1 of the last 4 starts by Danks and they are starting to fall short on their pitcher support payments as the White Sox were shutout in his last start....a 2-0 loss to the Angels.

A decent home team in San Francisco will find a way to scrap out a few runs against Danks, Cain will lead the way with a solid pitching performance, and the Giants will avoid a sweep by taking this one.

San Francisco Cain +100

I will have my analysis and selection for Sunday Night Baseball posted at the site by no later than 7p EDT so be sure to stop by and check that out.
