1-Unit Play. Take #702 Nebraska (-9) over North Dakota State (Noon)

I'm looking for a bounce back from Nebraska. They had a 10-point lead with under 10 minutes to play against Nevada before throwing up on themselves and losing that game. I have to think that they are going to rebound here. North Dakota State was terrible in its first game, shooting 29 percent from the field in a 16-point loss to Nevada. Nebraska is better than Nevada. So if they can blow out the Bison I think Nebraska can do so as well.

3-Unit Play. Take #711 UT-San Antonio (-5.5) over UT Rio Grande (4 p.m., Saturday, Nov. 28)

I like this UTSA squad. I think that they are going to be a bit of a sleeper in CUSA and I think that they are a bit undervalued. They have one of the highest scoring backcourts in the country with Jhivvan Jackson and Keaton Wallace. They brought back four starters from last year's team and added a couple solid transfers, including Eric Parrish. They should be a more well-rounded team this year. Rio Grande lost its top two scorers from last year. And besides Javon Levi, no one on this team plays any defense. Rio Grande just got beat by 40 by Texas. That can't be great for their confidence and I think they will lose again here.

4-Unit Play. Take #722 USC (-11.5) over Montana (9 p.m., Saturday, Nov. 28)
1-Unit Play. Take 'Over' 139.0 Montana at USC (9 p.m., Saturday, Nov. 28)

USC needed overtime to beat Cal Baptist in their first game. Not great. Also not that surprising. USC has a ton of new pieces and moving parts. These guys haven't played together so there are going to be some bumps. They do have the advantage of getting that first game out of the way, though. This is Montana's season opener and they are replacing four starters from last year's squad. Maybe this Grizzlies team is better than I think it is. But they are incorporating several transfers into their rotation as well. And a better, more experienced Grizzlies team played four games against major conference opponents last year and lost all four by 11, 18, 17 and 33 points. In 2019 they had a really good team that went to the NCAA Tournament. That team lost its three games against high-end competition by 26, 19 and 19 points. In 2018 another NCAA Tournament team actually beat Pittsburgh on the road and only lost by 3 at Washington. But they lost their other three games against major conference teams by 13, 16 and 14 points. I think USC will be the sharper side tonight and they will run away with this one.

3-Unit Play. Take #723 Rhode Island (+1.5) over South Florida (5:30 p.m., Saturday, Nov. 28)

Rhode Island played two good games against two good teams earlier this week, taking close losses against Arizona State and Boston College. I think they will break through with a win here against South Florida. USF struggled with Florida College in its opening game. Alexis Yetna only played 12 minutes in their first game and he is obviously not fully recovered from his knee injury. I think Rhode Island is the better team and they should be able to break through with their first victory of the season.

3-Unit Play. Take #732 Old Dominion (-13) over William & Mary (6 p.m., Saturday, Nov. 28)

Last year was Jeff Jones' first losing season since taking over at Old Dominion seven years ago. I think he has a bounce back season. ODU has three starters and most of its bench back from last year. They are a very solid defensive team and they should smother William & Mary here. ODU has the benefit of playing a game already, while this is the Tribe's season opener. William & Mary was a huge overachiever last year thanks to the outstanding efforts from Nathan Knight and Andy Van Vilet. Those two, along with their combined 34 points and 19 rebounds per game, are gone. This is a complete rebuilding season and I think that William & Mary is going to stink. ODU has revenge for an ugly 63-46 loss at WM last year and I think they will get it here.

2-Unit Play. Take #746 Villanova (-9.5) over Virginia Tech (8 p.m., Saturday, Nov. 28)

Villanova looked great in a dominating win over Arizona State on Thursday. I think they will be even better here. Virginia Tech lost its best player, Landers Nolley, and they were unimpressive in their 77-62 win over Radofrd in their home opener. They don't matchup well with Villanova at all. And I think that the Wildcats are going to be able to shut down Tech's 3-point attack while Tech won't be able to do the same. Villanova is 21-9 ATS in neutral site games while Virginia Tech is just 7-20 ATS in its last 27 games overall.

1-Unit Play. 5-POINT TEASER: Take #722 USC (-6.5) over Montana (9 p.m.,) AND Take #732 Old Dominion (-8) over William & Mary (6 p.m.)

5 Unit Play. #742 Liberty +8 over South Carolina (4p.m., Saturday, November 28 ESPNN) TOP NCAA HOOPS GAME OF THE DAY The Gamecocks are set to make their season debut in 2020 today in Kansas City. Liberty already has two games under their belt, and both came against teams that are better than South Carolina. Just not a believer in Fran Martin being a consistent winner at South Carolina. He had one great year when they made the final four but has not done much in the other years as coach. Liberty is coached by Ritchie McKay and already beat Mississippi State by 11 points this season. South Carolina is 1-6 ATS (1 push) in their last 8 neutral site games. Liberty is 9-1 ATS in their last 10 neutral site games.

4 Unit Play. #746 Villanova -9.5 over Virginia Tech (8p.m., Saturday, November 28 ESPNU) the Wildcats are battle tested this season having earned two victories by 9 points including beating Arizona State last time out. I do not see Virginia Tech being able to be a consistent winner once Buzz Williams left town and their level of talent continues to dwindle. Villanova has the best players on the court in Jeremiah Robinson-Earl and they should pull away in the second half and win this game by double-digits. Virginia Tech is 1-10 ATS in their last 11 games as an underdog. Villanova is 20-8 ATS (1 push) in their last 29 neutral site games.

3-Unit Play. #727. Take North Texas +8.5 over Arkansas (Saturday @ 6pm est)

We are 2-1 to start CBB and of course, 1-0 to start Football, we have 7 Plays ready to roll now including 2 College Football Today and 5 NFL Tomorrow. We could have picked several games here but we are going to go with North Texas here though we do think that St. Louis probably does well against LSU and Liberty should do well against South Carolina today. However, we roll with North Texas here as they have a very senior laden team and they face a talented Arkansas team - but a team that has not faced adversity yet and a team full of transfers. So, Arkansas does not know how to play together yet and North Texas has played together for ages at this point with a long tenured coach as well so they know what they are doing coming into this game and consequently, we like North Texas to hang tough today and stay within the number.

I said last week that if Michigan didn't cover against Rutgers -- not just win, but cover -- then it was a lost cause. Well, Michigan beat Rutgers, but it needed three overtimes to do it and didn't come close to covering. Now I'm supposed to trust the Wolverines as favorites? No thanks! I don't care if I'm betting on a winless Penn State team here. The fact is that records aside, Penn State's performed better than Michigan this season in a lot of areas. Penn State is 0-5 ATS this season, but the two times it has failed to cover as an underdog were against Ohio State and Iowa, two teams that are a lot better than this Michigan squad.

Do you think Pat Fitzgerald is interested in winning games by enough to cover the spread? I'm not convinced he is. It's hard to blame him considering how badly his offense has struggled this year. The Wildcats are scoring only 1.95 points per possession this season, which ranks 84th nationally. That number doesn't tell the entire story, though. Northwestern averaged 3.91 points per possession in its opener against Maryland; in four games since, it's averaging 1.56. Of course, both of those numbers are miles ahead of the 1.07 Michigan State's offense is scoring per possession (122nd nationally), so, yeah, 20 points should be more than enough for the Wildcats on Saturday.

AUBURN @ BAMA | 11/28 | 3:30 PM ESTYESTERDAY 11:16 AM
The Iron Bowl has taken a turn the last couple years. It's become a high-scoring affair. Two years ago in Tuscaloosa Alabama won 52-21 and last year the final score was 48-45. Alabama's defense has taken a step forward in recent weeks (basically since halftime against Georgia), but I can't help but believe Gus has something in store for this game. He always does. It might not be enough to cover, but it should be enough to help nudge this game past the total.

KSTATE @ BAYLOR | 11/28 | 7:00 PM ESTYESTERDAY 11:14 AM
Kansas State ranks 96th nationally in points per possession at 1.74, while Baylor's ranked 100th at 1.7. Kansas State's overall number is misleading, too. Skylar Thompson only played in the team's first three games, and the Wildcats offense averaged 2.63 points per possession in those contests. In the five games without Thompson, they're averaging only 1.65 points per possession. Also, while neither team has an exceptional defense, they've fared much better on that side of the ball. The icing on the cake is that Unders have cashed at a high rate with these two. Five of the last seven meetings have stayed under, and the under is 18-7-1 in Kansas State's last 26 Big 12 games. It's 13-6-1 in Baylor's last 20 conference games too.
